Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day is around the corner (13th March), which is the Friday in 2 weeks time. So what is this so called Red Nose Day???? It's a day where Comic Relief uses to raise money to do charity. This day is not something traditional, in fact it was first celebrated in 1985. It's celebrated every 2 years, hence you don't get to celebrate it every year.

So how do you celebrate it??? Simple, you celebrate it by doing something funny and request people to donate money. Simple. For example, wear a red nose and walk around the street. HAHA!! Just how funny and weird would that be. HAHA!!

After people had a good laugh at you, you can now collect money from them and say the money will go to Comic Relief. And you then started saying that your money will go to some place in Africa for some school, water scheme or hospital or food, etc.

One thing I don't understand about British. Why do they always help countries in Africa??? Is Africa really that poor after all these years??? I'm sure a lot have change in Africa and I'm sure there are other places in the world that need charity funds like China, India and Eastern Europe. In fact, I'm starting to think that the British government only do charity works to countries with rich resources and poor goverment.

Bear in mind that the British goverment didn't do much charity works during China's natural disaster or the tsunami in South East Asia. I'm sure there's a reason behind it. Perhaps it is Africa's oil??

Anyway, I don't do donation here in UK simply because I don't trust them. I'd rather donate my money to my countrymen in Malaysia than to others that I don't trust.

Getting bald

Just bought one of these from the pharmacist yesterday.

What is it??? Here's a photo up-close which I think everyone can read.

Yup. It's a hair tonic for my hair, I mean my head. Not that I have much hair left on my head. Hehe....
I know that my hair line have been receeding for the past 4-5 years, but I never bother about it. I don't know what's wrong with my hair. It has nothing to do with my family history. My brothers and my sisters have lots of hair and they are older than I am. Hmm... Here's a photo of me taken recently. Notice my hairline and my messy hair.

I'm only 25 this year and people have been misunderstanding that I'm 30... Not that I'm losing my confidence or anything, but just that I felt a little weird and annoyed needing to explain everything.
Perhaps I would look better if I'm bald.... But I think my head is not round and smooth enough for a skin-head.

But, it definitely look better than losing hair and only having a few strands of hair like Homer Simpson. Haha.... Hope I won't look like the photo below in the future..... If this day ever comes, I will shave my head.

I'll see if this hair tonic have any effect on my poor head. :D

Swimming

I went swimming yesterday. It's been a while since I last swim.... about 6 months I guess. Although they heat up the water so that it's not freezing cold, but it's just too cold. The weather here made me wanna go back to my house and not go anywhere.

Anyway, I'm not a good swimmer like Michael Phleps or any superstar. Me wearing my swimming trunk during Halloween doesn't mean I'm a good swimmer, but it means I like swimming. I can't do Butterfly, back-stroke or even breast-stroke. All I can do is front-crawl and doggy-paddle. .. Haha....

Anyway, been wanting to show everyone how the pool looks like, but I can't really bring my camera into the pool or changing room or else they'll think that I'm a pervert... Not that I don't admit I'm a pervert...Haha...

Anyway, the Brits here like wearing bikinis instead of a one-piece. Yes, even the fat and ugly ones like wearing bikinis... From my experience and observations, girls who wear bikinis can't swim, but girls that wear one piece swim much better. Hmm....

Another funny thing about the pool is that the girls here like to put on make ups when they're swimming, as if they're doing synchronise swimming. Hehe... And you probably guessed it right.... their mascara got smudged all around their eyes... Haha... stupid slut... Trying to show off..

Well, for the blokes in Britain, they don't like wearing trunks. They like wearing pants and only pants. Yup, they don't wear anything 1inside... Hence, for those who wear white shorts, you get to see a big 'ding-dong'.... 'DING-DONG'!!!! Haha....

I manage to take some photos of the Sports Centre from the outside rather than from the inside.

As you can see, in this sports centre, there's a water theme park in it with all the slides in it. Will try to get a better photo next time.
In conclusion, not all Brits can swim well, and they don't really have any ethics when it comes to swimming. How can you wear shorts or pants in the pool??? It's dirty!! Think about this. A guy spilled some ketchup on his pants and go swimming with his pants. Then, he doesn't have to trouble his mom to wash his pants anymore. Haha....

Valentine's Day in Paris

Apologies again for not updating my blog. Been busy in the office lately.

Anyway, I've spent my V day in Paris. Flew there to meet someone rather than flying there with someone. Yes, it's my first time spending Valentines Day.

She arrived in Paris early in the morning while I arrived around 11am. Met her in the train station around 1.00pm and went straight to her hotel to drop off my stuff. I was surprised to know that she bought lunch for me and also orange juice. After having my lunch, we went straight to Disneyland.

Took some photos of us on the train. Is she pretty??? She's mine and I'm not sharing it. Muahaha...
Nice smile??? Finally, my readers get to see photos of me smiling... : )

Took some photos of the Disney Castle at night. Nice??? She was so happy that she suddenly smiled and laugh... : ) I was happy making her happy... : )
Yes, it's official now!!! She's mine. That's my left hand and her right hand. Not both my hands. Haha...
To be honest, I never have good impressions of Paris at all. The impression that Paris gave me was that it's full of people with attitude problems and poor customer service. People there are lazy and go on-strike for pay-rises every year.
But, spending Valentines with her in Paris changed everything. I was actually really happy and had a good time. In Paris, I simply ignored everyone around us, and that made me feel... HAPPY.. Really appreciate all her effort in spending Valentine's Day with me. I'm really thankful that I met her.

Valentine's Day plans

Valentine's Day is around the corner. How do you normally spend your Valentine's Day?? How would you spend your V Day this Sat??

Well, funny thing about V Day here in Britain is that it's always associated with SEX. Is Valentine's Day all about sex??? Or do British have stronger sex drives??? The reason I'm writing about this is because most of the Valentine cards are all SEX related. I haven't got a problem with that, just that I find it funny.

Anyway, how would you spend your Valentine's Day this year??? I guess the following pictures might give you an idea of how to spend your V day.

A romantic trip to Paris?
Don't give a fuck to Valentine's Day??
Roses for your partner???
A set of sex toys for your partner? (Applicable to guys or girls)
For yourself ?
Or use it together with your partners???
Get an expensive sex toy for private use?

Anyway, doesn't matter how and where you're spending your Valentines Day, it's never too late for last minute arrangements. And, most importantly, don't forget your partners name.... Hehe... Just joking.... I mean, don't forget the 3 important words. :D

Aberdare

I went to Aberdare this weekend to visit a friend. For those who don't know where Aberdare is. it's a small village 40mins drive awat from Cardiff. Yes, it's a small village. It's so secluded that you'll see more sheeps and people.

We had dinner and chat for several hours. Yes, that's the best thing to do in a small place like Aberdare. There were no clubs or any nightlife entertainment apart from traditional old pubs.

That place was so secluded that there's only 2 trains going there everyday. And I almost got stuck in that village, cause I missed the train. Have to trouble my friend to drive me back to Cardiff. Felt really bad about it.

Credit Crunch in Engineering

I'm starting to see more and more effects of the CREDIT CRUNCH in Britain!!! It's crawling nearer and nearer to me. And now, it's hitting some people around me.
Ok. This afternoon, I've just heard news that two of our competitors (Atkins and White Young Green) are going to shut down their local office (in Cardiff). Well, they're engineering consultants for those who're not familiar. Is that a good sign??? Hmm... What do you think?
One of ATKINS' building that they always take pride!!!!
Now take this pride and move out of Cardiff!!!! Haha....
Well, them shutting down will mean we get a bigger share of the regional market. However, that's also a sign that there isn't enough work for everyone. Meaning, the market had shrinked in size.
So in this current economic climate, what sort of precaution have my company taken. Directors have been convincing us that the company is strong and robust and blah blah blah.... And we have not hired or fired anyone until now. So, their plan/strategy, is to ask employees (like me) to work some unpaid overtime. Hmm.... He said " As long as everyone chip in (sacrifice) a little, we will shelter this crisis, and we will be strong in the regional market... blah blah blah..."
Well, I don't own the company. I don't even have any shares in it. Why should I work for free??? I'm still not convinced to work for free.

I wonder what will happen 6 months later. Economist have been comparing the credit crunch with the Great Depression in 1937...

Dissapointed snow

So, it didn't snowed as much as I expected today. The Met office warned everyone in Cardiff that it's gonna be disastrous, and hazard warning was all over the place. I thought it's gonna be just like "The Day After Tomorrow". The local bakery shop was forced to open late, because they haven't got enough staff.
In fact, it turned out to be nothing. Only few bits of snow on the ground. Argh... So dissapointed. I thought I'll get the chance to see people riding sledges pulled by huskies on their way to work. Or even emergency services like the police and ambulance on sledges.... Hehe... It's a lil dramatic and funny to even think about it. Haha...

Guess the huskies get the chance to take a day off.

Snow in Britain

It has been snowing yesterday and today everywhere in Britain. Some call it a winter wonderland, but I call it a disaster....

Wanna know why??? With snow, and bad weather, you'll get flight delays... So, no holidays and no business trips... This will lead to crowded airports... followed by theft.
Secondly, you get frozen streets which makes it difficult to walk. I even slipped and fell this morning, and I got laughed by this little girl. Haha.... It was really funny.
Anyway, slippery roads also cause lots of accidents and traffic jams. A few of my colleagues who live in the valleys were stuck in the valleys because of the snow. Don't believe??? The only way they could get out of their valleys is to drive their tractors to the office, which will take 4 hrs. Haha...

Back to UK

2 weeks of Chinese New Year holiday is gone and I'm back to this miserable island, Britain.

Never thought that I would come back here at the worst time of the year. Just read the newspaper and it says that it's the coldest week in 15 years. I thought I could of miss the coldest week when I go back for Chinese New Year... Too bad

By the way, it snowed a little this morning. It snowed everywhere in Britain except in Cardiff. Argh.... Can't even play snow but just walk in the cold... In other cities, you get snow up to 5 inches today... Felt so jealous...
